![]() ![]() Tennis courts free to use out the back of the campsite and over the bridge. The village of Beaulieu was beautiful, lovely meals in the square, the right hand side of the square has the nicer choice of food. Some pitches were huge and only had a small tent on them, not at all impressed for the price. Our caravan and awning was smothered in bird excrement considering we have camped for years we have never experienced such a poor pitch. The pitch number 67 had big trees over it fabulous for shade but every night many birds at 21:50 roosted every night we had to move our car as it was covered in excrement after the first night. Our pitch was tiny just enough room for an English caravan and awning and a tiny area to put table and chairs not at all ideal as brambles were all along the back of the pitch. First problem on arrival we had put in the comment section to have two pitches next to each other as we travelling with friends, this hadn't been received and we were informed that we should have paid extra for requesting two pitches next to each other. electrical hook-up optional (Max.First time on a Huttopia Site.Toddlers' pool (ages 1-3, 5.5m, excluding towbar.Shower seat / shower chair (folding or mobile) approximately 48 cm high.Water and toilet facilities for disabled people in the same building as for the other campers.A shower (150 cmsx150 cms minimum) and a toilet (165x220cms or 190cmsx190cms minimum). Also suitable for caravans > 5.5m, excluding towbar. Also suitable for motorhomes > 8m and > 4 tonnes.ACSI Club ID is accepted as an identity document.Reservation with CampingCard ACSI also possible.Lovely historic region with stunning views lots to see. Nice site on island in the river, toilet facilities good but no handrails on very slippery steps down from the loo block. Nice campsite near river nice pitches we have been there beflore and will visit again.ĭavid Leonard, on this campsite in May 2019 JOHN BRADLEY, on this campsite in May 2019 5 mt drive to good Intermarche which also has a laverie at the back of the car park and well priced fuel. Lovely walk upriver into the historic village which has enough shops/cafes for your immediate needs or you can go via the main entrance (-which is quite narrow - turn down the road by the side of the Pharmacy on arrival). Very pleasant to stroll around the site and exciting to walk over the footbridge over the weir. Fairly level and different sizes - good mix of sun and shade. Large sprawling site by the River Dordogne - you pay extra for pitches by the riverside. Mac Chamberlain, on this campsite in June 2019 Great facilities, clean and well stocked. Very tasty pizzas and an excellent local craft beer. Vivienne Horle, on this campsite in June 2022Ī perfectly positioned campsite with easy access to Beaulieu sur Dordogne and the surrounding area. Good value for money and would definitely return. Would make excellent centre for touring the area. Short, easy walk into wonderful town with shops, restaurants and medieval buildings. Large, comfortable pitch by the river (no ACSI discount but worth it) and lovely surrounding countryside. Really lovely site: staff friendly, cheerful and hardworking able to order bread, nice pool, good laundry provisions and clean fully equipped sanitary facilities (the best on our trip this year!). Steve&Bern, on this campsite in September 2022 This however could be a long way from your pitch and the area is commonly used by groups of campers for meals etc. When I raised the issue with the staff they pointed out that there is a common barbecue that anyone can use. The site has now banned their use which seems excessive as we have never seen the ground here parched or even particularly dry. The only quibble I would have with it is that the ACSI guide shows all types of BBQ are permitted and in previous years we have enjoyed using our charcoal BBQ. it has restaurants and bars and an interesting medieval church The staff are very helpful and friendly and the town is only about five minutes walk away. We.have stayed on this excellent campsite several times over the last few years and have enjoyed everyone. We will specifically look for Huttopia sites again.Įric Shrimpton, on this campsite in June 2023 Friendly staff clean and tidy facilities. Rob Atkinson, on this campsite in September 2023īeautiful camping alongside the river. We thought that this was the best campsite that we visited on our five site visit to France. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. The site is close to the town and river with some nice walks. Andy Knight, on this campsite in September 2023 ![]()
